General Issues eRecruiter applications are best viewed when using version 4.0 or higher of either Microsoft's Internet Explorer (recommended) or Netscape Navigator. Regardless of the browser you choose, it is necessary to configure your browser to have JavaScript and Cookies enabled.
AOL and Page Refresh Issues America Online uses a proxy cache to deliver Web pages through the AOL browser. If you are experiencing problems updating your Web site please try using a separate Web browser to see if this allieviates your problem. You can always contact us with your questions or concerns and we will do everything we can to help.
AOL and Image Compression America Online uses proprietary image compression to save on download time to reduce the load on their network. This use of image compression may degrade images found on most Web pages. This feature is on by default, but here are instructions to turn image compression off.
Enabling JavaScript
JavaScript is a scripting language that enables Web authors to design interactive sites. JavaScript can interact with HTML source code, enabling Web authors to spice up their sites with dynamic content. JavaScript is endorsed by a number of software companies and is an open language that anyone can use without purchasing a license. As an example, JavaScript is the language that enables the tabs in the menu bar of eRecruiter to 'move' when the pointer passes over them.
If you see the tabs 'moving' in the menu bar above, then you should have nothing more to do. If you don't, then either your browser is to old of a version, or you have to enable JavaScript.
Enabling Cookies
The main purpose of cookies is to identify users and prepare customized Web pages for them. This information is packaged into a cookie and sent to your Web browser, which stores it for later use. Every time you visit an eRecruiter application or our customer support site, your browser will send the cookie to our Web server. We can use this information to present you with Web pages intended only for you. Our corporate Web site does not make use of cookies.
